A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Henrique Michalany is both a master chef and entrepreneur.
He studied Economics and Hospitality at the Univeristy of FAAP and SENAC in São Paulo, before moving to Paris to pursue a specialization in French cuisine at the prestigious Ecole Ferrandi culinary school. Here he received certification from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a “trés bien” mention.
During his time in France, Chef Michalany had the opportunity to serve the cultural attaché of Brazil, as well as important presidential families staying in Paris.
His impressive culinary career spans over 15 years, starting at the Hotel InterContinental and Le Bristol in Paris where he trained as a novice chef. More recently, he has worked as head chef of three starred restaurants in São Paulo as well as large upscale hotels like the Renaissance and Club Med Rio, where he lead a staff of almost 100 people.
He currently teaches at the SENAC College, one of the most important culinary institutes in Brazil, where he has he certified hundreds of students over the past 11 years.
Today, Chef Michalany also works as brand consultant for international food companies looking to import their products to the Brazilian market.
